What does
GEO mean?

Search engine optimization, or SEO, helps search systems discover and understand a website. Generative engine optimization, often called GEO, describes work aimed at visibility in AI-generated answers. Neither gives a business control over what a platform ranks or recommends.

For Vloom, the practical work overlaps: explain real services, make pages accessible, connect useful evidence, and keep business information accurate. Google says its AI search features still depend on its search foundations. There is no special markup that guarantees an AI citation.

Start with a specific gap, not a promise to appear everywhere. A site that is difficult to navigate needs a different fix from a service page that omits the information a buyer needs. Read the AI-search foundations field note.

A scope based on evidence

Improve what
you can control.

Vloom reviews the current website and agrees priorities before implementation. Account-dependent findings stay unverified until the relevant access and evidence are available.

If the website itself needs a larger rebuild, that is quoted as website design and development, not hidden inside a search task.

Technical discovery
Review accessible pages, indexability, canonical URLs, internal links, sitemap coverage, and mobile usability. Check search-account reports where authorized access is available.
Service content and customer questions
Turn verified services into useful explanations: who the work is for, what is included, what the limits are, and how to take the next step. Add evidence that comes from the business, not invented testimonials or results.
Business facts and structured data
Align the business name, contact details, service descriptions, and relevant markup with visible facts. Review existing public profiles where appropriate; do not create locations or credentials for search coverage.
Ongoing content and corrections
Update material when the business changes, develop approved original content, and track incorrect or outdated facts. Publishing volume, third-party costs, and reporting frequency belong in the written scope.

Know what was actually observed

A citation is not
a customer.

A useful report keeps search impressions, visits, AI citations, and qualified inquiries separate. It records the platform, page, question or query, date range, and limits of the data. An observed mention is not proof that one change caused it.

Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools can provide account-specific discovery evidence. ChatGPT referral visits are another signal when available through consented analytics. These are different views, not one universal AI rank.

For a first look, Vloom's free snapshot checks one representative customer question and whether the exact business name appears among the first ten returned names. It is a requested, point-in-time review delivered by email, not an instant scan or a full audit.

Before you start

No mystery.
No magic claims.

Can Vloom guarantee Google rankings or AI recommendations?

No. Search and AI platforms decide what to show. Vloom agrees the work, review points, and reporting scope; it does not promise placement, a citation count, leads, or revenue.

Do I need a separate AI website or special file?

No separate website is required. Start with the existing site's useful content and technical foundation. Google does not use llms.txt as a ranking mechanism. OpenAI documents OAI-SearchBot access for search, but crawler access alone does not guarantee inclusion.

How long does search improvement take?

There is no universal timeline. Implementation time is different from a platform's crawl, index, or answer-update cycle. Agree the work schedule, establish a baseline, and review comparable observations over time without promising a specific result date.

What should I have ready for a review?

Your website URL, the services you actually offer, the questions customers ask, and any existing search reports you can authorize Vloom to review. Useful project examples and approved business facts help make the recommendations specific.
